Headaches or Migraines
Pain or discomfort in the head or upper neck area, including migraines, which are intense headaches often accompanied by nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and sometimes visual disturbances.
Vertigo / Dizziness / Concussions
Vertigo, a sensation of spinning or dizziness, can result from various conditions, including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), a common inner ear disorder that triggers episodes of dizziness or vertigo due to changes in head position. Similarly, a concussion, a mild traumatic brain injury caused by a blow to the head or a sudden jolt, can also lead to dizziness alongside symptoms such as headache, confusion, memory loss, nausea, and sensitivity to light or noise.
Jaw Pain or TMJ disorders
Discomfort or pain in the jaw area. TMJ disorder refers to dysfunction or pain in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), the joint that connects the jaw to the skull.
Neck Pain or Whiplash
Discomfort or pain in the neck area can result from muscle strain or a forceful back-and-forth movement of the neck, often due to car accidents.
Shoulder Injuries
Can involve damage to the muscles, tendons, ligaments, or bones of the shoulder. Common issues include rotator cuff tendonitis and frozen shoulder(s).
Elbow Pain
Can result from overuse, repetitive motions, or sudden trauma. Common causes include tendinitis (such as tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow), strains, sprains, or bursitis.
Wrist or Hand Pain
Common issues include carpal tunnel syndrome, sprains, fractures, and tendinitis.
Low Back or Hip Pain
Can result from muscle strains, ligament sprains, or issues with the spine or hip joint. Conditions such as a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, or a bone spur pressing on the sciatic nerve are related to low back or hip pain.
Knee Pain
Damage to the knee’s ligaments, tendons, or cartilage can result in various issues, including ligament sprains, ACL/MCL injuries, cartilage damage, and patellar tracking disorders, which occur when the kneecap (patella) moves out of its normal alignment during movement.
Ankle or Foot Pain
Can result from sprains, fractures, or overuse. Common causes or injuries include twisting the ankle, sprains, plantar fascilitis and metatarsalalgia.
